I feel so far behind this year so it was time to have a day of sowing seeds. I sowed brassicas (though why I bother...), more peas, various flowers for companion planting and cutting, lettuce, beetroot and more sweet peas as my overwintering ones look a bit weedy. Look at me being peat free!
The boys helped by racing around my ankles on a bike and a go cart - and yes I do have the bruises to show for it. I have put the seeds to bed in a mini plastic greenhouse to keep them a bit warmer and prevent the chickens having a nibble. Yes you Farah!

Well at least you have made a start...I planted seeds just 10n days ago and already they are starting to sprout...nothing happening with the parsnips though :-(
ReplyDeleteGood start, I'm quite addicted to sowing just not sure where I'm going to plant them!
ReplyDeleteI'm up to speed with the sowing, my problem is where they're all going to go once they're ready to go out, my allotment still isn't dug over.
ReplyDeleteYou are all so comforting. I'm nipping to the plot later to see if the beans peas and parsnips survived the snow earlier in the week.
ReplyDeleteWell you are certainly making up for lost time. That seems like a lot of seed Sowing. I think I'm all done now except for the things that I am going to sow direct this year (worth a try) like the beetroot, parsnips.carrots, some pumpkins (others have been sown in pots)
ReplyDeleteI hope you are having a good Easter.
